Welcome to Morden Recreation Ground & Village Hall

CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY

In response to the current Government instructions, we are taking the following measures.

Recreation Ground

The Hall, Playpark and Tennis Court are now shut until at least 14 April.  This will be reviewed when restrictions are lifted.

The open space of the Recreation Ground is open but please observe Social Distancing of at least 2 metres.

Local events

All village events have been cancelled or delayed up to mid-June 2020.  This will affect the regular groups – Brownies, Short Mat Bowls and Minis - plus Easter Bingo, Easter Walk and the May and June Car Boots.

Morden Community Lunches

We have decided not to hold our monthly lunches in the village hall during this time in line with the Governments guidelines on group meetings.

We are however aware that there are people in our village who may well need meals especially now.  We are proposing to deliver a hot plated meal  to anyone over 65 or whose household is self-isolating at the usual lunch price of £3 – just to cover the costs.  If you or someone you know fits into this criteria and would like to have meals delivered please contact Claire on 459075.  Also if you are someone who could help with the deliveries please also contact Claire.

At present we will be delivering on Tuesday and Friday each week, starting next Tuesday 24th.  If you would like to have a delivery you must phone and let Claire know by 6pm 2 days before.

This service is for those who need it, if your household is fine please think about those around and see if they need help.

Hiring the hall

We are not accepting any new bookings up to mid-June.

We will be cancelling all meetings up to 14 April.

We will be cancelling any bookings for social events up to mid-June.
